What we do
Family Link works to ensure that eligible children from birth up to age three have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and be valued in their communities.
We work with you, and those important to your child and family by engaging and exchanging information, providing tips, techniques, and strategies that can be used to help your child develop and learn.
Early Intervention
Early intervention (EI) services are designed to address developmental concerns as early as possible. The services are available for infants and toddlers up to age three who have been determined eligible for EI. Contracted agencies serve as the Early Intervention Program providers (EIPs) and arrange for early intervention practitioners to work with you, the caregiver(s), to address the needs of your child and family.
New Jersey Early intervention SYSTEM(NJEIS)
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for early intervention services through the NJEIS, a child must meet the criteria in at least one of the following two categories:
Children who’ve been evaluated and found to have a developmental delay (2.0 standard deviation below the mean in 1 area of development or 1.5 standard deviation below the mean in 2 or more areas of development), OR
Children who have a diagnosed physical or mental condition that has a high probability of resulting in developmental delay.
